Elton Hui, hailing from Hong Kong, now divides his time between Miami and New York. His journey into fashion design began with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising Management from the Art Institute of California in San Francisco. Growing up in a family of knitwear manufacturers, Elton was immersed in the clothing industry from a young age, being taught the craft of knitwear manufacturing by his father and uncles.

During his last semester of college, Elton interned with Engineered Garments and Nanette Lepore in New York City, gaining hands-on experience in production and quality control. This exposure solidified his passion for establishing Meticulous Knitwear. Post-graduation, he worked for Nepenthes America, where he began to hone his design skills. Elton’s designs have since been featured in WSJ Off Duty, T Magazine, Beams, and Nylon Japan.
